Shipwreck

Players will frequently see shipwreck icons on their maps, called either Shipwreck or Treasure Pile.

By sending a ship to these shipwrecks, players will collect a treasure reward.

Collecting shipwrecks also progresses the task Treasure Hunter in the Achievements, however it appears not all shipwrecks are counted towards the achievement.

  • Treasure Piles do not count towards Treasure Hunter.
  • Each Event offers more wrecks in a day, but those are not counted in the tasks Achievements.

Crew requirements

The crew cost of salvaging a shipwreck will vary depending on the player level. If a high crew requirement becomes an issue for a player, La Pensee, a scouting ship with extremely high crew but very low capacity is a good choice, also worth it for exploring in general.

Rewards

Rewards are based on the player level and are also affected by a multiplier. The reward is not based on the capacity of the ship and/or the number of sailors the ship can carry.

All shipwrecks give Xp points.
